Video games are one of the biggest forms of entertainment in today's society. While I wouldn't consider myself a gamer, I have played a handful of amazing games that are relatively easy and quick to get the hang of. In no particular order, here are some games that non-gamers will love, from my experience.
1. The Wolf Among Us
This is an awesome Telltale game based off of awesome comic books. It combines legend and fables and manipulates it into a huge mystery that The Big Bad Wolf is left to solve. With characters like Beast, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, and The Magic Mirror it shakes up these popular stories. Fair warning though, it might have stories from your childhood, but it is a very mature game that has graphic moments and edgy content.
2. Little Big Planet
3. Until Dawn
Until Dawn is a horror interactive choice game that focuses on the butterfly effect. It makes it clear that your story is only one of many different possibilities. A group of friends returns back to a cabin where two of their friends went missing. A classic horror set up with an ending you can’t guess. Not only is this game extremely fun and extremely terrifying, but it takes your fears and makes them into a reality.
4. Kingdom Hearts
If you like Disney or Final Fantasy, you will love Kingdom Hearts. This game features popular Disney movies and uses them as a supporting role in an epic story. Spanning 7 games and counting, this incredible game has an incredible following. With characters, we all know and love like Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, Aladdin, and Mulan it weaves together an original story with many twists, turns, and tear-jerking moments.
5. Life Is Strange
This interactive choice game involves a teen, Max, that learns in the face of devastation she has special powers. It makes Max realize that life really is strange. She is able to go back in time and make choices differently in order to protect everyone she knows and find out information that she desperately needs. This game is an emotional rollercoaster in the sense that one minute you will be laughing along with the characters and the next you will be heartbroken for them. Can time travel help Max and her friends or is it already too late?
