9 Things You Simply Must Do When You Visit Disney World
DISKINGDOM

Walt Disney World is my favorite vacation spot, and I want to share with you the must do's for your next vacation. There is so much to do while you are visiting Disney and hitting the highlights is always important. This list contains new and old attractions, magical experiences, and a new way of checking what as always been at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

1. The World of Avatar

The newest attraction in Disney's Animal Kingdom as two rides in the Avatar world called Pandora. Avatar Flight of Passage and Na'vi River Journey, both opened this year and it is an incredible place to go. Each of these rides feel like you are stepping into the Avatar movie and exploring Pandora. Have you ever wondered what it is like to fly on a banshee? Experience a 3D flight over the oceans, in waves, through trees, and animals. Next, visit the river and ride through the beautiful and creative scenery from their world.

2. Expedition Everest

The closest I will, probably ever, get to Mount Everest, thanks to Disney's Animal Kingdom. This is a thriller coaster of high speed, forward and backwards, and hills. Come up close and personal with the Yeti, which screaming at the top of your lungs.

3. Space Mountain

Disney's Magic Kingdom in Tomorrowland is full of future rides and this is one of the attractions. Though this isn't one of my all-time favorites, it guarantees a high speed ride through the dark with sudden drops and turns.

4. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

Join Aerosmith. at Disney's Hollywood Studios, for a wild ride in a super-stretch limo to their show! Remember to keep your head back or you will be all over the place when you go zero to 60 in a couple of seconds. Oh, and smile for the camera! This is my favorite ride at Disney World because while you are going upside down and turning sharp corners at around 60 mph, Aerosmith is playing right in your ear! What is better than singing on a roller coaster? Nothing else.

5. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Do you dare to step into this haunted elevator or will you pass on the thrilling and haunting time? If the ride doesn't scare you, the Disney workers (bellhops) with their evil stares and haunting tone will send shivers down your back or you might laugh - it is up to you. The main haunt of Disney is on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood Studios waiting for you.

6. Disney Springs

Downtown Disney was re-imagined as Disney Springs, but World of Disney and the movie theater are still my favorite places to visit.

7. Magic Kingdom's Firework Show

A spectacular firework display accompanied with Disney songs from a variety of movies.

8. My Disney Experience App

To make the best of your Disney vacation, download this app that shows maps of the parks, wait times for rides and shows, and list for fastpasses.

9. FastPasses

Want to skip the long wait time, here's your chance. Be sure to check fastpasses at least 60 days ahead of your vacation!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
