Let's face it, apps such as Pandora and Spotify make it incredibly easy to listen to music doing anything at anytime of the day. That includes studying. Music genres such as classical music can improve your concentration and memory. "With positive vibes comes a positive mind" is what my friend always says! Some students struggle though with finding the right music for them to use when they study. It's all about personal preference. Whatever helps YOU focus is the best music to study to.
Now some of you may read this article and say "shut up Paige, I'm going to listen to whatever I want when I study". Others of you might even say "I don't study so this article is irrelevant". Whatever you choose to do, here are some songs that can help you study without having to undergo complete and utter silence.
1. Someone Like You - Adele
Adele's voice is pure and elegant. If words don't distract you while studying, Adele is a perfect artist to turn on doing homework.
2. A Thousand Years - The Piano Guys
The Piano Guys do amazing renditions to today's most popular songs. It is all instrumental, but you can sing along to the familiar tune while listening to the pianos and violins. Very relaxing and unique.
3. Let Her Go - Passenger
Like Adele, Passenger is a band who's overall tone is very soft and rhythmic. Easy music to study with, as Michael Rosenberg's voice echoes in the background.
4. Blue Love - Alpha X
An interesting route to go, but nonetheless an effective song choice for studying. The music is instrumental, with different technological sounds surrounding it. More of a modern twist to the classic instrumental music.
5. Moonlight Sonata - Beethoven
Obviously this is the most classic piece of classical music. Classical music is said to be the best music to study to because it improves your ability to retain information. Definitely worth a shot to see if you enjoy it.
