Music is something that connects each and every person all over the world. Whether you like to listen to hardcore rap, love the twangy country or you're really just feeling the blues, music is connecting with you either way. I don't think I have ever met someone that doesn't like a particular type of music. If you really think about it, music is a beautiful thing. It's there for you when you're lonely, happy, sad, excited, or just feeling like you want to get down. Music has been around forever and no matter how much it changes, it will always be there waiting to make you feel whatever emotion you feel like feeling that day.

The thing with music is that it connects everyone in different ways. There are so many different types of people in this world, and along with that comes different types of music. The thing about music is that it can be uplifting but make you want to crawl into a corner and cry at the same time. The beautiful thing about it is that the people who make the music are just like us. They are normal people who have gone through the same things we are. They've had terrible breakups, gotten fired from jobs, gone through school, had rough days, and so on. They just decided to express themselves in a different way which makes all of us grateful and happy at the same time.

Nothing in this world can be more uplifting or satisfying than putting your headphones in or turning up the radio in the car and blasting your favorite song. Music has always been around in my life, and I use that to my advantage. I cannot tell you how many times music has taken me out of my worst moods or made me even happier than I already was. The beauty of music is that it follows you wherever you go. You will never be lost from your music and it will always be a huge part of who you are.

Being the music-lover I am, I cannot tell you how many concerts I have actually been to. If you have never been to a concert, I seriously suggest that you go to at least one. But I know once you go to one, you'll be obsessed and have to go to many concerts. There is something about going to a concert that is exciting and uplifting in so many ways. It's one thing to listen to your favorite artist on the radio, but it's a whole different situation when you get to see them live.

When you see someone live, you can feel the energy from the people around you, but also the energy from the person singing. You can tell they really love what they do, and the smile that comes across that person's face when the whole crowd starts singing their song is a memory I will always cherish from all those concerts. There is something amazing about being packed in a tight space with many different people, but you are all there because you share one interest and that is that artist. That artist who has gone through some of the same things you have. That artist who works their butt off to achieve their dreams and make you happy too.

Music brings people together, tears them apart, and puts you through a cycle of a hundred different emotions. Music is an amazing and powerful thing that will always be around no matter what kind of mood you're feeling that day. The beat will always get sicker because of all the unique people in this world. Who knows? Maybe one day you'll be achieving your dreams and inspiring millions with your music.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
