Without music, where would the world be?
Music is a universal language. It can bring us back to happiness or help us through a tough time by letting us have a good cry. It can bring back great memories and make us laugh, as well as give us a sense of calm after a stressful day.
Music can take people to a special place and time, no matter where they may be. It can take anybody back to a love they once felt for someone, or remind them of hard times they faced head on with someone by their side.
It allows people to daydream of their future such as with the song "You Can’t Hurry Love” by Phil Collins. It reminds them of people they love with “She’s Like The Wind” by Patrick Swayze. Music can also motivate people to make plans for their future, such as the theme song from Rocky, “Eye of the Tiger.”
Music can lift people up in a way that can only be explained by each individual person. Each person experiences music differently. I feel the music and it moves me. It allows me to imagine what could be and look back fondly on what happened in my past, as well as driving me toward my goals and dreams. Other people may have the experience of feeling each song, by focusing on the rhythm and the beat of the music.
Some music will make people want to get up and dance such as "Yeah", by Usher, or "Beat It" by Michael Jackson. While other songs may cause people to slow down during hard times, ask God questions and listen to the words such as "Praise You In This Storm", by Casting Crowns.
So, don’t let anything hold you back from enjoying your favorite songs, no matter what they might be.
Music can bring anyone and everyone peace, no matter what type they may listen to. I encourage you to let your music take you to your special place and let go of your stress.
“One thing good about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain." -Bob Marley
