1. "A Walk to Remember" (2002)
This early 2000s romantic drama is a timeless tear-jerking tradition. Relive the roller coaster of love with all of your closest friends with a bottle of wine, ice cream, onesies and don’t forget the Kleenex — you’re gonna need it! #Jamie&Landon4ever
2. "An Unfinished Life" (2005)
With a leading lady like JLo, you know this mid-2000s film will be full of love, taking on a more somber role as a single-mother (seriously, can JLo ever not be a strong single parent in a movie). This one will definitely make you break out the Kleenex.
3. "The Holiday" (2006)
If you need a pick me up from the last two films, this rom-com will hit you right in the good feels. Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet paired with Jude Law and Jack Black make for a heartwarming comedy about finding your happiness and of course, love. Jack Black may not be Leo, but this movie still deserves a watch at your next slumber party.
4. "Silver Linings Playbook" (2012)
2012 proved to be a fruitful year for superstar Jennifer Lawrence. Following the successful first film of the "Hunger Games," the Hollywood gods paired JLaw with Bradley Cooper and gave birth to this beautiful movie. A drama with romance and comedy sprinkled in for flavoring that started the beginning of a beautiful acting relationship. #JLaw&BCoop4Ever
5. "Sixteen Candles" (1984)
The '80s blessed us with many things: poufy hair, Mom jeans, brightly colored workout outfits and of course, John Hughes movies. I don’t even think I need to explain why this should be added to your list. I’ll leave you with this — Jake Ryan.
6. "The Switch" (2010)
If you loved Jason Bateman in "Juno," you’ll be sure to fall in love with him in this film. Jennifer Aniston is the strong leading lady who decides to get pregnant through the miracle that is artificial insemination. During the "insemination party," Bateman’s character has an unfortunate run-in with the "specimen" and decides the only way to cover up the incident is to replace it with his own. A few years down the road, he finds himself becoming attached to the child that his friend unknowingly created with him. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry — you’ll learn about life, and how it’s created.
7. "Mulan" (1998)
Anyone who grew up in the early 2000s should know at least one solid quote from this Disney animated film. Mulan is a quiet obedient daughter who decides to run away and join the army posing as a man! This movie should definitely be in your Netflix queue, because not every princess needs to be saved by a prince.
8. "The Flintstones" (1994)
Your favorite prehistoric family steps out of the cartoon and into live-action. Relive your childhood bliss and Yabadabadoooo!
9. "Save the Last Dance" (2001)
Starring Julia Stiles — the queen of early 2000s romantic movies. This film breaks down barriers and finds the good in everything around you. Warning — you may cry, but it’ll be a good cry.
10. "My Girl" (1991)
I’m sure you’ve seen it a hundred times, but, why not a hundred and one? Relive the happy/sad movie again and cry in exactly all the same spots. Just for good old time’s sake.
11. "Pleasantville" (1998)
Have you ever dreamed of stepping into your favorite 1950s television show? Tobey Maguire and Reese Witherspoon did in 1998. Add some color into your life and watch this wonderful movie again!
