Movies and TV Shows For Couples To Watch On Valentine’s Day

Looking for something to do with your boyfriend or girlfriend on Valentine’s Day? Here are a list of the best movies and television shows to cuddle up and binge watch with your significant other.

TV Shows

1. One Tree Hill

I may be a little biased because this is my FAVORITE show of all time. OTH has drama, comedy, romance and basketball is the backdrop of the show. It has something for everyone!

2. How I Met Your Mother

HIMYM is awesome because a lot of the episodes you can watch without having to view them in chronological order. The story is so sweet and romantic - a man telling his children how he met and fell in love with their mother.

3. LOVE

This is a hidden gem on Netflix. The Judd Apatow produced comedy shows the ups and downs of a relationship between two unlikely people. It’s very entertaining and BONUS, it has already been picked up for a second season.

4. The Wonder Years

The Wonder Years is a classic about young love, set in the late 1960s. The show portrays a family living in the suburbs and specifically, their youngest son, Kevin, who loves his neighbor, Winnie.

5. Friday Night Lights

Another favorite of mine, FNL is so underrated. The TV show portrays life in Dillion, Texas for a group of high school students and their families. There is a lot of drama, romance and football!

Movies

1. Step Up

Okay, who doesn’t love to watch Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan dancing? Knowing that the pair fell in love on set and are a real life couple makes the movie that much more romantic!

2. The Wedding Planner

The 2001 romantic comedy follows Mary Fiore, played by Jennifer Lopez who falls in love with Dr. Steven Edison, played by the very charming Matthew McConaughey. The only problem? He is getting married to someone else and she is planning their wedding.

3. Serendipity

This movie made me believe in fate and love finding its way, despite the obstacles that may try to ruin it. John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale star in the film which will make you turn and hug your significant other extra tight.

4. 10 Things I Hate About You

The title of this movie is very deceiving! Based loosely on William Shakespeare’s ‘The Taming of the Shrew’, this late 90s teenage comedy has the best of everything - good music, great actors and a perfect love story!

5. How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days

Matthew McConaughey stars in another romantic comedy, this time with the dazzling Kate Hudson. Both play characters who are trying to get the other to do something. Kate’s character wants him to break up with her and Matthew’s character wants her to fall in love with him. Hilarity ensues!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
