It does not matter who you are. Everyone loves movies, especially new movies. There are a lot of exciting movies that are coming to theaters in 2017. Now these movies I am about to list may get canceled or you may never hear about them, but these movies all come from the website Movie Insider, which is a pretty reliable source. Also, I have chosen movies that seem like they have a pretty good chance at being made (there's already buzz or they sound probable). That being said, here are some movies that I we all are hoping to be made and watch in 2017!
1. Beauty and the Beast
This is a famous Disney classic that has already created some buzz about being made. Starring Emma Watson as Belle, I am excited how Disney remakes this movie classic.
2. Guardian and the Galaxy Vol. 2
Chris Pratt has become a huge movie star ever since he starred in the world wide phenomenon Jurassic World. Now he is filming his earlier movie, "Guardian of the Galaxy's" sequel. I don't know about you guys, but I am so excited about this movie! I loved the first movie, and I am excited to see the second one.
3. Baywatch
Any movie that has Zac Efron shirtless is bound to get a lot of buzz. I am excited about this new movie even if I haven't watched the original Baywatch (I know!) Regardless, any movie with Zac Efron in it is worth watching. He is not only a handsome guy, but he is also a good actor (and I am being serious). Anyways, I think this movie will do really well at the box office when it comes out in 2017.
4. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
If I am being honest, I liked the first Pirates of the Caribbean and the fourth one. Once again now for the fifth movie, Jack Sparrow returns and I am excited. I just hope that the movie franchise keeps the movie exciting as the last one. When the movie gets caught up in the details it just gets too confusing, and that's what happened to the second and third Pirates. Hopefully this movie will be one that is able to pull the details together to get a action adventure we won't soon forget.
5. Transformers: the Last Knight
This is the fourth movie in the Transformers movies. Michael Bay is directing and he said,"It's kind of like a new Transformers. We had three, the first trilogy, and this is going to be the next one. It's the first of a new trilogy. I'm not necessarily sure that I'm doing [the others], but that's what it's meant for (April 2014)." This movie sounds very exciting, and I am excited what Michael Bay and his team will do with this new movie.
6. Fast and Furious 8
This movie is still in the works of becoming a full production, but I have no doubt it will be made. Vin Diesel is expected to return as Dominic Toretto. When asked about the movie, Vin Diesel said that Fast 8 will form the first installment of a trilogy intended to bring the series to a conclusion after 10 films.
7. Jumanji
Jumanji is a movie classic that is awesome. I've loved this movie since I was little. This time the movie is going to star Kevin Hart and "The Rock" Johnson. Just with those two you know this movie is going to be hilarious. This movie is one of the major classics that is an adventure, a comedy, a romance, and scary at the same time. This movie is also going to be dedicated to the late Robin Williams who originally starred in this film.
8. Marvel: Spiderman Homecoming
Well Marvel has finally gained the rights to Spiderman and now he is coming to theaters under Marvel's name. I loved Andrew Garfield as Spiderman, but since he no longer wants the role Marvel is recasting, and redoing the original Spiderman. Marvel is the new superhero movie empire I just hope they don't ruin Spiderman and keep his originality. I am excited about the prospect though since Marvel did a great job with "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Ant Man."
9. Kong: Skull Island
"Kong: Skull Island" will explore the mysterious and dangerous home of the king of the apes as a team of explorers ventures deep inside the treacherous, primordial island." This movie looks awesome. With Tom Hiddleston as a potential star this movie has great prospect and I hope it does well in the box office. If it does not look too scary I will be seeing this one.
10. Despicable Me 3
Oh boy, Despicable Me just is on a train that never stops. This story follows Gru, Lucy and their daughters Margo, Edith, and Agnes and of course the Minions. This movie is still in the production mode, but considering how well the other despicable movies have done it is no surprise Hollywood is producing another one. Well in all that consideration we can at least count this movie will be major-ally cute and a good one to take your kids to.
