“Life is not fair." We have all heard that at one point in time or another to describe a rough event in our lives. It is true -- life is not fair. We all have problems to deal with. Some are minor like a bad week with school, bill problems, and relationship issues of varying types just to name a few. Then there are large problems we face like depression and anxiety, family issues, drug abuse, and death.
Everyone has a rough day or a rough week. Heck, some of you may be having a bad semester right now in school and it is making you rethink a lot of things about your career choice and school options.
It happens to everyone, but the important thing is to keep going with whatever you are doing. Use anything to distract you -- playing with animals, spend time with friends, go home and be with family, sleep, YouTube, and Netflix -- it doesn’t matter, just get out. It is OK to feel sad about what may have happened whether it is your fault or not. Cry, complain, and punch a punching bag or scream as loud as you want. Do not take it out on someone who doesn’t deserve it.
We all have rough days. Make sure to do whatever you can to get over it and keep going.
