Ah, morning people. The early risers, the early bird catches the worm, the early morning go-getter. This person is the one that wakes up at 6:30 am and is refreshed, ready to hit the day head on. Now, these people have their own set of goals and morning routines. Being a morning person can make you the odd ball out but that's okay. However, being a morning person has its perks lined up!
1. The morning workout
Most morning people feel the burst of energy to get up early and go for a run or work out in the gym. This early rush of energy is a great way for a morning person to start their day. Having an early morning workout can set the tone of the rest of a person's day.
2. "Sleeping in" is a foreign phrase
For morning people, anything after 9:30 am is sleeping in. The mental alarm clock goes off and the snooze button is shut down. Even on weekends, staying asleep can be hard for the regular early riser.
3. Always the first person awake
All around you, it is silent, even the birds. You can sit and appreciate the silence around you and what early mornings have to offer. You tend to try and get work accomplished without the distractions of others around you. However, sleepovers may become awkward when you are the first awake of your friends.
4. Early classes are your favorite
The dreaded 8 a.m. classes are a happy anticipation in your book. You are ready to accomplish the task at hand and get through your classes to clear up the afternoon. You are usually the most energetic and talkative and your classmates can stare with envy and hate.
5. Night owls are a mystery
Your polar opposites think you're weird. You have never understood how someone could stay up until three in the morning and then be able to function properly the next day.
6.Your caffeine addiction is a problem
Whether you are the first one in line at Starbucks, or a travel mug gripped in your hand, caffeine is your muse in the mornings. Caffeine has become a necessary need in the morning to help combat the day ahead. Coffee at night is your best friend if you plan on staying up late at night.
7. Tend to fall asleep in afternoon
Whether you love an afternoon nap or not, morning people tend to fall asleep or doze in the afternoon. This can be caused by staying up too late or even waking up too early for them. You tend to startle yourself as you fall asleep and things in the afternoon can sometimes be hard to handle.
The early bird catches the worm may be a simple phrase for some, but for others, it is a symbol in which they live by. Morning people set the bar for over achievers that want to get the morning squared away. Now, do these things happen to anyone else?
