Mom,
I know there have been two million or more of these letters, but I feel the need to say it myself. I love you, and you are one of the best things in my life. You’ve been there for me even when I was at my most moody and snappy. You’ve been there for me when I’ve been at my best straight A’s and best friends.
Thanks for being there and raising me to have respect. Thank you for giving me a shoulder to cry on whenever I need. Thank you for being so honest with me. Thank you for surrounding me with a family of people who love me.
I look around at so many people who are rude and nasty to those around them and I wish that they had had a mom like you. I look at some of my best friends and I’m thankful they have a mom who is of the same caliber that you are.
As I’ve grown up, you’ve become my best confidant, and we have the best conversations while driving down the road. We’ve cried together, laughed together, and most times, like right now, just sat together, occasionally sharing a thought or laughing together at the tv.
Yes, there are times that you frustrate me beyond belief. But everyone has those times in every relationship. It’s okay. It never lasts long.
I love you, Mom. Through thick and thin.
Thanks for being the best mom I could ever ask for.
