Hi, hello, I know you're out there. You are the people who are so extremely uncomfortable and awkward. I know this because I am one of them. Yup, me. But this trait that we try to hide oh so deeply, is what makes us, us! When you look back to those moments of unpleasant happenings, you may be embarrassed but it makes you and your life interesting. For my awkward people out there:
1. When you walk by someone and say hi, but they don't reciprocate.
2. When the only conversation you have at parties are with the pets.
3. When someone starts to talk to you and your brain freaks out and you can't form real sentences.
4. When you're called on in class. Oh no.
5. When you meet a new group of people.
6. When you try to escape social obligations.
7. When you say something and no one hears/gets it.
8. That time when you fell down the stairs and acted like nothing happened, but everyone saw. "I swear there was one more step."
9. When you see someone cute walking your way. Run!
10. Eye contact makes your heart race - not in a good way.
11. Your childhood pictures aren't in the least bit interesting.
12. Nervous laughing is a serious condition you're slowly dying from embarrassment.
13. Dancing skills.... do I need to even say anything?
14. When you finally get over it.
Just kidding, the awkwardness never leaves.
To all you awkward people out there, I throw my hat to you. You are what makes this life fun. Keep being your awkward self, keep missing high fives, keep laughing at nothing. Keep your heads up, there's hope for us awkward species!
