It's the most wonderful time of the year, and why would you want to spend it anywhere other than in Milwaukee? Experience the city in new ways and maybe even start a new holiday tradition!

1. Ice skating at Red Arrow Park

Red Arrow Park offers an outdoor ice rink right in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. Skating is free, and skate rentals are $7 for ages 17 and under and $8 for 18 and older. Check here for open skating hours. If you get a little chilly, warm up at the Starbucks conveniently located next to the rink!

2. Explore the Mitchell Park Domes

The Domes have a large variety of holiday shows and activities for all ages through the end of the year—and into 2016 as well! From Gingerbread Land to holiday performances to winter markets, the Domes have it all. Check here for dates and times so you don’t miss out on the fun!

3. Participate in the Polar Bear Plunge

Are you feeling brave? Do you want to start your new year off in an exciting way? Consider Milwaukee’s Polar Bear Plunge at Bradford Beach on New Year’s Day! Just remember to be smart and safe while plunging!

4. See The Milwaukee Ballet's "The Nutcracker"

Don’t miss out on this holiday favorite! The Milwaukee Ballet will be performing "The Nutcracker" until December 27 at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. Click here for ticket information!

5. Take a Milwaukee Holiday Bus Tour

Experience Milwaukee like you never have before! On these guided bus tours, you’ll have a chance to sample and purchase different types of food and drinks depending on the tour you choose. 6. Stroll through Candy Cane Lane (West Allis)

Head over to West Allis to see the collaborative effort of over 300 homes lit up for the holiday season at Candy Cane Lane! Make sure you get there soon; it runs until December 27.

7. Ride the Jingle Bus

The Holiday Jingle Bus runs Thursdays through Sundays, December 20-27 and is only $1 per person! Riders will receive a narrated tour past Milwaukee landmarks and some of the best decorated areas of the city. Make sure to arrive early to claim your spot!
