Milledgeville is filled with college students, families and visitors of the historical district. There is one thing that always brings these groups of people together: good food. After being in Milledgeville for a couple years, here are some of the best meals and restaurants deals I have found. These local restaurants are sure to satisfy all your cravings.
The Local Yolkal:
If you like breakfast food, do not miss out on the Local Yolkal. They offer a variety of breakfast plates and lunches. Whether you are getting a late start to your day or are craving breakfast for lunch, they stay open until mid-afternoon. Create your own sandwich, get their delicious flavored pancakes, or even try their Eggs Benedict with your choice of side item.
The Brick:
If you ask anyone who's visited Milledgeville, the first thing they may ask, is if you've tried The Brick. One of Milledgeville's best known restaurants, located in the heart of downtown, is the perfect place to stuff your face. The menu is full of a variety of pastas, sandwiches, pizzas, wings, and salads. However, the appetizers could make an entire meal! The Brick's Buffalo Chicken Dip is a fan favorite and is to die for.
The Goodie Gallery:
You may never guess it, but this hole in the wall restaurants serves the best wraps in town. The Goodie Gallery is a quick grab-and-go stop, right around the corner from Georgia College's campus and is great for a college budget. Grab a sandwich and give yourself an excuse to grab one of their sweet treats. Homemade cheesecakes, chocolate oatmeal cookies, and cheese straws are some of the most popular choices.
Buffington's:
Acoustic Music Monday, Karaoke Tuesday, and Trivia with Wings Wednesday, make sure that Buffington's is always a happening place. If you want something healthy, try the grilled salmon. If you're looking to indulge in any delicious foods, try the sweet potato fries or Diggity Dank Nachos, and be filled up in no time.
Khai Thai:
If you are a sushi person, Kai Thai is the place for you. On Thursdays and Saturdays, they offer a variety of sushi for only $4! Try out their crab ragoons as an appetizer, or a side of soup to go along with your meal.

Do you miss your grandma's southern, comfort meals? Judy's will give you a little fix. This is an all-you-can-eat buffet filled with your favorite home cooked dishes. Loaded mashed potatoes with gravy, fried chicken, and mixed veggies are sure to fill up your plate. Many student's don't know about Judy's, but it's beloved among locals. Don't pass up trying this hidden gem located right off Highway 441.

While Gringos may be fairly new, it's grown a lot in the last year through various promotional events and Spirit Nights. They are now partnered with Georgia College's SGA, and host Monday Night Trivia so make sure to check it out. Gringo's has a variety of unique tacos such as the BBQ Pork taco or the Southern Gentleman Taco. For those 21 and up, don't miss out on endless nights of the best margaritas in town!
