Let's go back--back to the beginning. In the words of Hilary Duff, we're throwing it back to the good ol' days. If you're one of those people that misses how things used to be, or just wonder how in the world today's kids live with iPhones instead of Magic 8 balls, then I promise you this article will give you piece of mind. Enjoy this little trip down memory lane!

1. Motorola Razr phones.

When your friend got it first, you were totally jealous. They were shiny and you could text on them?! How cool!

2. Scrunchies, butterfly clips and barrettes.

Oh I thought these were the sh*t back in the day. I was the queen of the side pin all of 2005.

3. Frosted lip gloss.

Your argument always was: "Well Christina and Britney are wearing it, Mom! So why can't I?" It didn't matter if it didn't actually suit your skin tone, you'd wear it anytime, anywhere.

And then frosty eyeshadow.

Your thought process probably went a little something like this: Well if I just pat a little bit of this onto my eyes, I'll sparkle and shine! Oh no, wait--better add more!

4. Begging your parents to go see these kinds of movies (even though you were barely 13).

These shows were the best things on primetime TV ("Gossip Girl" and "The Vampire Diaries" aren't even close--trust me).

8. Going to Blockbuster.

I almost had a meltdown when they knocked down the one near my house. It was my happy place.

9. Buying your first magazine or CD from the grocery store with your own money.

Admit it, you felt so grownup.

10. When this came rolling into your homeroom, gym class or science lab, you knew it was gonna be the best day of your life.

All hail rolling TV stands. #BlessUp.

11. When the iPod came out.

You would have given your right arm/leg to get a colored mini.

12. Admiring all of your friends' Abercrombie tees and Hollister jeans.

Don't judge.

13. Only knowing Drake as Aubrey Graham (aka "Wheelchair Jimmy" from "Degrassi").

You were also totally shocked when he was the one who got shot. Damn you, Rick!

14. Trying to wrap your head around what celebrities were thinking when wearing things like this.

The crazy low cut. Plus the spray tan? No way, JLo.

15. When "The Hills" first aired, but you could only watch it when your parents weren't around.

LC = goals.

16. Actually talking to your friends on the home phone.

And having to call them back if they weren't home. Ugh.

17. Webkinz and/or Neopets.

You were living the dream with these. *Bonus points for you if you had Barbie dolls and Polly Pockets. Those rocked too.

18. Songs like this.

This song was my jam. Others like it included: "Toxic" by Britney Spears or "1985" by Bowling For Soup.

19. School picture day outfits.

Mine consisted of sweater sets. I'm sure yours were just as bad. If not, then I hate you.

20. And of course: when you got to come home from school, eat your fruit snacks, and not have a care in the world as you turned on your favorite TV show.

Ah, life was good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
