Curious what Phelps has on his playlist in the Ready Room? So was I, so here it is in no particular order…

1. Are you ready for this -Jock Jams

Phelps isn't taking crazy jump shots, but he is always pumped and ready for his races in the pool. I guess you could compare his Men's 200m individual medley to a three pointer.

2. Under Pressure -Queen & David Bowie

Olympians are under serious amounts of pressure. Got to get in the zone!

3. Eye of the Tiger -Survivor

4. Don’t stop me Now -Queen

Bet he sings this one to himself when he is far past the competition in the pool. Which leads us to our next song...

5. Can’t touch this -MC Hammer

6. Already Gone-Eagles

7. We are the Champions -Queen

8. Record Year -Eric Church

Everyone knows Rio 2016 was Michael Phelps record year! He is now the most decorated Olympian of all time! His career was definitely impressive.

11. Welcome to the Jungle by Guns N’ Roses

I bet Phelps played this one to Chad le Clos after beating him in the 200m butterfly. Revenge for Chad's London win against Phelps in the same event. Revenge is a dish best served cold! (Maybe even in a cold swimming pool.)

Phelps takes pride in the fact that his country is the melting pot of all different cultures.

Right before he hits the water this is probably the song he sings to himself.

26. Part of Your World- Jodi Benson (From “The Little Mermaid”)

I bet he plays this one for Little Boomer every night. Got to train the new generation!

27. I want you back -Jackson 5

This one is for us fans, because well you know we want him to come back out of retirement already! USA! USA!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
