How to create good memories with your roommate

Memories With a Roommate

If this is your last semester with you roommate or if you need some ideas of fun stuff to do, here are some suggestions of fun things to do with your roommate that will create some epic memories.

Henna tattoos are fun if you want to do something different from normal, although you do need a certain level of trust to let someone draw on you in henna. If you are saying good bye, writing inside jokes or signing each others names is a way to remember them for awhile after you are parted.

Making T-shirts or tank-tops together can be super fun and a good way of remembering each other when you are no longer roommates. Writing down inside jokes, nicknames you gave each other, or words or doodles of the best memories you have together are some basic ideas you could do.

Doing some outdoor activities together can be a great last memory or adventure such as sledding, building a snowman (my roommate and I built a snow corgi as we love dogs), or walking into town and visiting some local stores can be fun if it is winter. If it is summer or spring maybe go for a hike or a walk, walk around campus and explore some places you haven't been before. If it is fall or around a holiday you can decorate your room together, find or make leaf piles to jump into, carve pumpkins, or go to a bonfire and tell spooky stories.

If either of you has Netflix, binge watching movies in the dorm with some microwave popcorn and soda from the vending machine can be a blast. If you don;t have Netflix or an online movie account try to use the dorm lounge room tv if they have it.

If you still have some time before you leave your roommate, make sure you make some memories that will last when you are apart. Take videos and pictures so you can make an album of each other or put them up on the wall.

Roommates can become such amazing friends and can sometimes be like family. I am going to miss my roommate so much when I leave, she has become like a sister to me. I am so glad we shared so many good memories together and were there for eachother through some tough times at college. I know she and I will have more memories outside of college but our first few ones will always be my favorite.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
