Thank You For All the Memories, 2016

October 2016 through December 2016. Part 3 of 3 representing one of the best years of my life.

October 10

This day was a beautiful day, it held promise of laughter and adventure. We took off into the woods and found paths we didn't even know existed. We laughed, we told stories, and we all took photographs to capture the beauty of fall.

October 19

On this day I got into an awful fight with someone I really love. To patch up the pieces, Jordan and I took on Portsmouth, NH and explored all of its offerings. We laughed, we drank Starbucks, and he helped my heart heal.

October 30

On this day we celebrated Halloween. We pulled costumes together and we went out, Jade kept apologizing for plans falling through and having to party hop. Little did she know I didn't mind at all and I was truly having so much fun. Happy Halloween!

November 6

On this day, Jordan and I decided to have ourselves a day. We were off to the races once we got the idea to go out to a nice dinner without going home to change. We went to the outlets and we bought all sorts of clothes. Personally I bought a new vest from J-Crew and Tommy Hilfiger pants, it was a successful shopping trip, successful dinner, and a successful day.

November 7

On November 7, 2016 I was given a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear Barack Obama speak at my school. We woke up nice and early, got in line, made some friends in line, then had the opportunity to listen to his inspirational speech and advocacy for Hilary Clinton. November 7 is a day I will never forget. (I also got to meet Ezra from Pretty Little Liars, which not gonna lie was pretty cool)

November 12

On this day I got to see my best friend play collegiate Hockey for Sacred Heart University. While I'm so so so sad she transferred seeing her on the ice reminded me how proud I am of her and that two separate schools does not me two separate lives for us.

December 2

On this day I got to spend the day with Elise, and for no reason at all we had so much fun that day just doing nothing. I'm frowning in the featured picture because December 2 was also the day I got all of my online shopping done for Christmas, therefore draining my bank account. Later that night, I went to Merrimack to watch some of my best friends play ice hockey with one of my best friends from home. I laughed a lot I smiled a lot and that made December 2 a good day.

December 25

Christmas was a day of family and laughter. I had an amazing Christmas, especially when I had the opportunity to see my family opening and enjoying their presents I thoughtfully picked out for them. I am so happy with the outcome of this Holiday. Unfortunately, the only proof of the fun we had is my siblings yelling about Settlers of Catan, and safe to say it is R rated and not appropriate for this blog.

December 31

And of course what better day to ring in the new year besides a work shift that kept me and hour and a half later than planned and almost made me miss my New Years kiss. Thankfully I got there just in time, and couldn't be happier. So happy I got to celebrate New Years Eve with amazing people by my side. xoxox bye 2016, hello 2017

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
