A Ranking Of First Impressions On This Season Of The Bachelor

It's time for yet another season of the guilty pleasure... The Bachelor! If you've never seen any of the Bachelor franchises, then I suggest you start now. If catfights, tears, and plenty of drama aren't your thing, then at least do it for Ben Higgins, total heartthrob. Ben has a charming face with a genuinely adorable personality that kind of reminds you of a puppy dog. It's a challenge not to fall for him through your TV screen. Just look at that face.

Because I'm so incredibly invested into The Bachelor and it's the only reason I like Mondays, This season I felt like the first impressions were pretty weak in comparison to expectations and other seasons. The ladies were unimpressive, but Ben only deserves the best. Whether you liked them or not, here is a ranking of memorable first impressions - from the women whose names you won't remember, to the ones you couldn't forget even if you tried!

27. Jennifer

Jessica was one of few women who didn't introduce herself at first. I have to give it to her, I'd be so nervous I'd forget to introduce myself too, but the rest of their interaction was completely forgettable, so it's no surprise she got the boot.

26. Lauren R.

Lauren R. never actually told Ben her name when he first met her. She did however, tell him how much she stalked him over social media... Then when he proceeded to ask her for her name she never gave it to him! I feel like that's a pretty bad way to start off the relationship...

25. Lauren H.

For her first impression, she gave Ben the bouquet from a wedding she "just so happened" to go to last weekend, and "just so happened" to have caught during the bouquet toss. When your competing on The Bachelor, there's reason to believe she just bought a bouquet herself and waited for them to dry up. #NOTIMPRESSED.

24. Jessica

I have to acknowledge her genuine character, but other than that she didn't do much for me. My friends liked her, but at the end of the day, she just didn't bring enough to make it to the next week.

23. Jackie

She seemed pretty normal and cute at first, and then she brought the wedding invitations she made for her and Ben...... kind of creepy. Not to mention no one knows what a gerontologist is. I've heard she has quite the resume and background, but you wouldn't really know that from the dud of a first impression she gave.

22. Lauren, "LB"

Oh, yet another Lauren. But she gets to be called LB instead of the usual Lauren + first initial. Besides her pink dress and matching fashion occupation, I really couldn't say anything about her personality. She was pretty forgettable, and I'm sorry, but for some reason I think LB is the worst nickname on the show.

21. Jami

Jami is pretty cute. The only issue I had with her was that she brought up being from Canada, and knowing Kaitlyn, aka Ben's ex (basically). I feel like that's a first date no-no and therefore questioned her judgement on bringing her up before he did... she also tried to get away with the whole, "I've heard you've got a really big...heart." Too much awkward for me.

20. Amber

Amber and Becca were both returning vets from Chris' season, but tbh I didn't even remember Amber that well. Not to mention she has to share the spotlight with Becca, and Becca kind of steals it. There's only room for one Bachelor vet on this season, and my bet is on Becca.

19. Shushanna

This impression was memorable in the sense that she didn't speak English the entire time. I was so confused, because I thought she'd at least be able to communicate something he'd understand, but it didn't seem like it. I don't know how she even made it to the next round. I hope to see some better communication if she wants to make it, but I did like her solely because her act confused Ben into making the cutest facial gestures

18. Lauren B.

You know it's going to be hard to remember them when you have to refer to them with their last initial. I wasn't super impressed, but that was because she was the first one to step out of the limo. My bar was set high, but I do have to admit that she seems pretty genuine and I think she'll make it pretty far.

17. Jubilee

When Jubilee first stepped out of the limo, there was no denying how stunning she was. Ben certainly liked what he saw by complimenting her dress. Her pitch was a pick-up line. This could have been either really awkward (Like Kaitlyn's pick-up line on Chris' season), or kind of cute. Jubilee's was the latter. "I'm having trouble breathing but I can't figure out if it's because this dress is so tight, or because you smiled at me." She needs to work a little on the delivery, but other than that, I approve of this war vet. Also, it's kind of hard to forget a name like "Jubilee"

16. Hoverboard Girl

The hoverboard girl's name is Rachel. Other than the hoverboard I don't really remember her much. But she does really date this season of The Bachelor with our generation and our advancements in technology. We'll be able to look back on this and question what the heck we were doing.

15. Amanda.

Oh, Amanda. Absolutely stunning, but she got zero points in my book after she started talking. There was obvious attraction, but not much chemistry. Mad respect for this gorgeous mother of two, but it's just too hard to get over her baby voice to take her seriously. I think she makes it pretty far though, and hopefully she brings actual genuineness as the competition goes on.

14. Samantha

Sam had the typical, Bachelor front-runner potential. She was cute, and had a sad life story to sympathize for. Everything was going pretty well, and we were rooting for her until she said "Samantha Higgins sounds amazing," and ended with a psychotic laugh. She did however, tell Ben that she passed the BAR the first second she met him. I admire the whole brains and beauty thing, but draw the line at use of the question, "Boxers, or legal briefs?"

13. Unicorn Head

At first we were like woah, crazy, but then I realized it was an try-hard attempt at attention that didn't have much else to offer. Overall, it was pretty meh. But then again, I really liked her dress, so in that case she stood out to me. Also, all the news reports and recaps of the episode all mention her, so I guess you could say she made quite the impression on America at least. But all in all, we're never going to remember her name or her face, just by the image above and the nickname, "Unicorn head."

12. Horse Girl

Well, she tried. It's kind of sad when one of the most unique introductions is someone bringing a mini horse with them..Short, but sweet. The best part was that even after she got kicked off, the horse stayed to play with Chris Harrison

11. Laura

I liked her because of three reasons: 1. She looked like Emma Stone's doppelgänger. It's quite fascinating. 2. She was two letters off from being yet another Lauren. And 3. She used her red hair to her advantage, and gave him a nickname to remember: Red Velvet. I thought her first impression was pretty cute, and I also couldn't stop thinking of how crazy it was that Emma Stone was on the Bachelor. She did get annoying later on when you realized she was kind of a follower to Lace's rude comments and didn't have a likable personality.

9/10. The Twins

The Bachelorreally hyped this up, and I personally thought it was kind of a train wreck. When they introduced themselves at the beginning of the show we saw stereotypical blonde twins: who "read each other's minds," can do a 5th grade handshake, and roller blade (as if that was their natural habitat). Let's be honest, we're never going to tell them apart if they even make it to the point where we remember their names. They seemed kind of air-headed and more like robots.. but hey, at least they're really, really nice.

8. Breanne

What started out seeming all cute and innocent, actually turned out to be Little Red Riding Hood from hell. The first issue was when she called gluten Satan, and that's when I knew I would never get along with her. Crazy, but memorable.

7. Becca

I couldn't get over how much I thought Becca had changed since Chris' season. Last Bachelor she was known as the quiet virgin who didn't really have a personality. Now extra blonde and exudes enough confidence to steal the spotlight. I was really impressed by her transformation but I hope her personality is able to keep up with her new look.

6. Izzy

Mad props to this girl for ditching the evening gowns for a look similar to the viewers at home. Not only is the onesie a practical, and comfortable choice of attire, the cherry on top was using the pick-up line, "You're the onesie for me."

5. Caila

At first I thought Caila was being awkwardly aggressive, but then the more she talked I realized how adorable she really is. She's clearly got guts, and is a sweetheart to boot. I'll be rooting for her as the underdog. She may not have had any props or ridiculous attire, but her charming personality made her memorable.

4. Mandi

Mandi made a memorable entrance with her Sarah Jessica Parker Rose outfit, and rocked the heck out of it. Sure, her scary dentist tools were a little aggressive, but her quirks were memorable, no matter how weird. I don't think she'll be here very long, but until she gets kicked off she'll be a force to be reckoned with.

3. Olivia

I already know I'm going to have a love/hate relationship with Olivia this season. Ben, my Bachelor watching compadres, and I were all blown away by her beauty and it continued to grow as the episode went on. Her uncanny resemblance to Cameron Diaz gave her a show stopping appearance that stole the screen from even Ben. She did however mention how she left her amazing job to come on the show, but she was able to bring it back to something mushy by saying she left something good for something great. Although Ben giving her the first impression rose makes her the leading front-runner, the previews suggest there is a hidden agenda under her perfect appearance. Can't wait to see how this unfolds!

2. Lace

Lace is without a doubt, the token Bachelor villian. We should have guessed her cute appearance hid something more when she planted a kiss on Ben within the first five seconds. Things got more interesting when she tried to kiss him again and he denied her. She looked at him like he was crazy for wanting to actually get to know the girls before kissing them. Even if you couldn't stand her, you have to admit she brings entertainment to the table, especially as the night goes on and she gets more and more tipsy. I don't know how she can stick around for so long, but what's reality TV without drama!Ben would be the first Bachelor to actually send the crazy girl home so soon, but then again, this is The Bachelor and they care more about ratings than actual love.

1. Tiara

Oh, Tiara. The job title really sums it up. Now you can say you've seen it all. Everything about her character seems like a joke, but it was definitely a memorable, zany Bachelor contestant for the books. Thanks for making Washington look weird.

Stay tuned to see what else these ladies have to offer in the competition for Ben's heart! Grab your Bachelor Bracket and wine glass, and join me in watching week two of Ben's search for love tonight on ABC!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
