There comes a point in every relationship when it is time to meet the parents. It's an inevitable occurrence that in most cases is more awkward than fun, but it really does make you realize just how much you like your significant other. We can all relate to it; the forced smiles, awkward laughter, sweaty palms... Just kidding sweaty everything (maybe that's just me) and borderline interrogating questions that make you realize you're either too good or not good enough for their child.
It starts off like this... You receive the "Hey, want to get dinner with me and my parents Saturday night?" text and you think, "Ugh, what am I about to get myself into," but instead respond...
The days leading up to the introduction you spend your time worrying and thinking about every bad thing that could happen.
The day comes and you realize...
So you try to think of excuses to get out of it, but then you remember the person you're doing this for in the first place and it becomes worth it all over again.
The time comes, you're face to face with your S/O's parents and you introduce yourself.
Conversations start and you try to look really interested and attentive.
They begin to ask you questions about yourself and you sit there like...
The conversation turns and they start to ask you about your family.
The night goes on and you realize that it's really not bad at all.
Eventually, the night ends and it was actually successful!
