Meet The Creator: Madi Simpson

In this edition of meet the writer, you'll get to meet the great, Madi Simpson. Madi is from Mount Vernon Indiana and is currently a CODO nursing major. One thing she loves about Purdue is the challenge that comes with it.

When asked why she joined the Odyssey she said, "I needed a stress reliever and something to take my mind off my course work". Her favorite thing to write about is pet peeves and relatable personal issues. One thing Madi is extremely passionate about is children. She said that "She can't imagine doing anything in life without children being involved". When I asked her where she sees herself in ten years she said, " In ten years I see myself hopeful married working as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. I also hope to be a foster parent to some amazing kids, with two of my own."

Some other things Madi loves to do is write, sleep, watch Netflix and yoga. A few clubs she is involved with is College Mentor for Kids, IHI Open School- Purdue Chapter, and is a sister in Gamma Phi Beta. Be sure to read some of Madi's articles and stay tuned for more in the future.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.
