I came to Cronkite thinking that I would go to law school after, but this school truly made me realize that journalism is the path for me. When I first moved to America, I watched "Good Morning America" every single morning with my dad. It helped with my English and I had a dream to be an anchor on the show someday. After doing mock trials and working for my High School's news team, I realized that I preferred being in front of a camera more than being in the courtroom. After graduating, I plan on going to Columbia School of Journalism in New York and hoping to pursue "Good Morning America" or a job as a news anchor. JMC 110 also made me fall in love with investigative journalism so that is also on my agenda. As a Middle-Eastern, I want to report on the topic of immigration and deliver that news accurately. I also have a very wild dream of wanting to host New Year's Rockin' Eve because I watch it every single year and I always tell myself "One day!" I want to leave Cronkite with three to four internships, if possible, and also two professional programs (Cronkite News and Howard's Center for Investigative Journalism). I want to be the reason people turn on their TVs every morning or night. I knew that I want to help people, but could never be a doctor. As a journalist, I can be someone that people can rely on.
