" Fashions fade, style is eternal. " - Saint Laurent

Everyone's perception of style is referred to as the "latest trends", but fashion icon Cyrus The Stylist has opposed this theory. This mastermind has become an entrepreneur and is constantly on the rise. He's what success should look like. It's not about the clothes we wear, it's the vision behind it. Dress like the person you want to be and not the person you often see. It was intriguing to converse with this mogul to see his idea behind his threads.

How has your vision through fashion shaped your lifestyle? Often people say they can tell a lot about you by the way you dress, so what perceptions do you want people to have of you?

Cyrus: Fashion shaped plenty of aspects of my life, from a creative standpoint, day to day routines, learning habits, and evening eating. I wasn't ever a big learner from being dictated to, I always felt being hands such as garment texture, textiles, and weight of the material. When people first see me, I want them to see a risk taker and confident male. I love the thought of wearing an outfit that would be second guessed by the average male.

What piece of clothing has been your most creative piece? (Examples like jackets, hats etc)

Cyrus: My most creative piece, I actually have two, one of my first official pieces with another creative PetahJay (P96) we came together and created a bomber jacket which came in a series of colors and 3M Polkadots. Then it would be from my Lost Gallery (Past, Present, and Future Denim Jacket); it symbolizes all the hell we go through day by day we still have to still be optimistic. The rose crown represents beauty and the garden of growth you leave after you die. It's from a name, child, luxuries, and or energy.

What made you jump into the fashion world?

Cyrus: I was always big into fashion from a young age. It's not until I entered high school and started going out and exploring the city. I would always want to stand out. I would wear fedoras with chino pants and Jordan's. Next day I would switch it up with a blazer and a hoodie. I always felt that fashion would be my go to in life and I don't regret anything about it.

Has your work ever been in any fashion shows? If not, which fashion shows do you wish to see your line featured in?

Cyrus: Unfortunately, none of my work has been featured in any fashion show. Ideally, I wouldn't want it to be because I wouldn't classify myself as a designer. One day I want my garments to be featured in museums or presented to the young generation as influential pieces to show them anything you put your mind to is possible to accomplish.

On the marketing side of things, what is your ultimate vision behind marketing your brand? Where do you see your brand going in the next 5 years?

Cyrus: My ultimate goal for my brand is to stop outsourcing and maybe become a fashion courthouse. In the next 5 years I would like to have a stern name in the fashion industry and not be subjected to a "street wear brand" or "a t-shirt brand." I want to expand my brand into different ventures such as film.

What partnerships have you obtained so far? Are there any celebrities you would like to style or work with?

Cyrus: I've connected with a few fashion stylists--upcoming and designer. I'm not big on name dropping, I'd rather my work speak for me and not who I know. One person I know I really want to work with is Big Sean. I feel his level of thinking and versatility in style would make us a killer team.

Who are your top 5 designers?

Cyrus: My top 5 designers would have to Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren, Pharrell, Jerry Lorenzo, and Rircardo Tisici.

What is the inspiration behind your M8 Club?

Cyrus: The inspiration behind the "THEM8CLUB" first started out as just "M8". Then I felt I need more of a grabbing title and wanted to know down the line my work can be associated with other platforms. The reason for the club and the first name was Marvin 8, My birthday is November 8th, I was 18 when I found out I really wanted to pursue this craft, and there's 8 elements (words) I lived by (Love, Hate, Fear, Creativity, Knowledge, Time, Patience, and Hope). The name now is "THE MANIFEST 8 CLUB." If you say it together it sounds like "the manifest ate club." If you think deep it's saying as you manifest your dreams and work hard you can accomplish all you strive and want/need.

Cyrus is breaking barriers with fashion that you may not want to miss out on! I'd highly encourage you guys to stay on the look out for greatness. Cyrus is causing havoc for Top designers and I will be the first to say he's a threat with the threads

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
