I don't plan on being a parent for quite some time, but when I do, I plan on being something like this:

1. Make references...when the time is right

2. Make the most careful decisions with lots of thinking

3. If my kids disobey me, I'll teach them their lesson

4. Be sure to give my spouse daily compliments

5. Act like I know what my kids are talking about

6. Have relationship goals

7. Separate real life from great movies

8. Offer my most honest answers to my kids' questions

9. Remember to teach my kids the politically correct terms for things

10. Teach my kids how to tear up the dance floor

11. Give the best advice

12. Know all the latest texting abbreviations

13. Act like a nerd, whenever I can

14. Be there for my kids, always

15. Be the hip, cool dad that my kids will love
