It's Friday, May 6th. It's the end of finals week. It's the beginning of summer... for everyone else. Not for you. Maymester starts on Monday! Watching everyone else go home is a tad painful, knowing you can't join them for another three weeks.
When you go on social media hours later, the pain worsens. Some people are simply having fun at home. Others are at the beach, amusement park, a foreign country... and you're in a dorm room. You try to relax all weekend, but that is over when your alarm goes off way too early in the morning.
You finally get out of bed to go to class. You don't see another soul walking around campus.
Okay, well, there are a few people in your class... and at least they are all still drained from the spring semester like you. Your professor then tells all of you already mentally exhausted students that you'll be doing a week's worth of work each day.
I mean, the thought of that is unsettling, even though you agreed to take part in this condensed semester.
You try to do your best in class anyway...
... but it's a major fail, and you just want to give up.
But, of course, you don't give up, even though your studying sessions basically go like this:
You want to take a break, but the summer dining hours consist of way too many closures.
You somehow finish your work anyway.
Even with this effort, the final exam is still hard.
You begin to imagine this worst-case scenario:
Thankfully, this doesn't happen because you somehow passed! Maymester is over! Even though you started summer later than everyone else, just remember that you've gotten further along in your path to graduation. That makes you...
Now, it's finally time to celebrate!
