To My Dad,
I love you. You taught me everything you know and you taught me right. You would put down your life for me. Thank you so much for everything you do. There are literally not enough words for me to describe the amount of gratitude or the amount of love that I hold in my heart for you. You have made me the person I am today, Dad, and I am so grateful for you.
You may not have been there to watch me take my first breath or watch me take my first steps, but you were there when I went through other milestones throughout my life, you watched me grow up from a boasting nine-year-old to a grown-up semi-adult. Even at times when I made you so mad your anger could cause mountains to explode, you still loved me.
You were the first man to have ever loved me as a daughter. I will never forget the moment I knew that you loved me or the moment that I knew that I loved you. You showed me the light at the end of the tunnel when I thought that it was the end of the world. You pushed me to become stronger when I thought I needed to give up. And when I wanted to quit, you made me stick to it and showed me hard work and determination were the things that keep a person going.
I know I've complained a lot throughout the years and I've made you upset a time or two, but I just want you to know, I love you more than anything and I am so thankful to have a father like you. You and Mom make everything so much more special for me and there are no words or actions that I could do to show you how much appreciation I have for the both of you.
You accepted me from the beginning and loved me right from the start. I will never forget the day I first met you, that was the best day of my life, because I got you, my Dad.
I know it's cliché when people always say they have the best Dad ever and whatnot, but honestly, you are the best Dad a girl could ever have asked for. Mom always said she prayed for you to come into our lives, but I never said it aloud that I prayed for you, too. I prayed my little heart out, that one day I would have a Dad to take me to the Daddy-Daughter Dances or to the park where I would see the little girls being pushed on the swings by their Dads. I prayed with all my might and God gave me the most amazing Dad in the world and I thank him every day for you. You might not have been there to push me on the swing or to take me to the dance, but you were there when I needed a father and you still are, I am so grateful for a Daddy like you.
I love you with all of my heart and I wouldn't want it any other way or with any other Dad, because you're my Dad and you always will be. So this is for you, my Dad, because I love you so much.
