We all love Netflix, and if you don’t, well, reevaluate your life. However, for those of you who are afflicted with the Netflix addiction, you understand that trying to find a new show has many important criteria to meet: a quality cast, an interesting plot, you haven’t seen it yet (or maybe no more than twice) and it has more than five seasons.
It’s hard to find a show that meets all those marks on the checklist. However, after years of searching, I have found the show to trump all other shows: "Malcolm in the Middle."
Now, before you fight me on this, hear me out. "Malcolm in the Middle" is a quirky, family-centered comedy that aired from 1999 to 2006, has seven seasons and is off the beaten path when it comes to the type of comedy presented in the show.
You may be thinking, “I know that show, it was always on Nick at Night and it seemed so stupid.” Well, let me explain something to you. You have to watch the show in sequential order for it to truly live up to the funniness that it offers.
This is due to many factors. As the show goes on, the characters develop, and as you watch them develop, you understand more about them because you've been watching them grow up—thus, everything makes more sense. Also, there are many hidden Easter eggs, inside jokes and long-running plot lines that are only funny to the audience if they've watched the show from start to finish.
Still don’t believe me? Here are the top 10 reasons why you should drop everything this very second and go watch "Malcolm in the Middle."
1. The cast is perfectly constructed.

2. There is no laugh track.
Which is a nice change from early 2000s-based sitcoms.
3. Hal and Lois are relationship goals.

4. You relate to the sibling dynamics more than you would expect.

5. Watching the cast grow up organically is a welcomed change.
For the most part, the cast is close to their age, aka there aren't any 30-year olds playing high schoolers.

6. The plot lines are original, creative and not to mention hilarious.

7. Dewey will give you life.

8. The show was based in the early 2000s, thus drenched in nostalgia for anyone who grew up in that decade.
Peep those spiked, frosted tips, the baggy, fluorescent-colored and oversized t-shirt, and perfect usage of the word "sucks."

9. It breaks the fourth wall in the best way possible.

10. It’s the definition of a feel-good family show.
But with a raunchy, creative humor that rounds it out to a great, binge-worthy Netflix series.

Now, close this tab, open up Netflix and give it a go. If you aren’t hooked after episode 13, just keep watching. I promise you, it’s well worth it!
