If you haven't heard by now, One Direction came out with their fifth album. Yep, you heard right, their fifth album in barely five years and if you ask any girl under the age of 12 (and over the age of 16) they would say it's their best album yet!
After the split of Zayn Malik from the five-man, now four-man, group, fans were worried that the music Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and everyone's favorite Harry Styles made without Zayn would not be the same. To say the least, it may be a little better. Of course everyone misses the angelic yet hardcore voice of hot bad boy Zayn and his high long notes (throwback to "Rock Me" on the Take Me Home Tour).
The world wide famous boy band, One Direction, started on the British X Factor when Simon Cowell created the group. After ending up in third place on the show, they ultimately won, as barely anyone remembers anyone else on the show. Soon after, they recorded their first album, "Up All Night," and went on their first headlining tour.
About a year later, their second album "Take Me Home," many fans' favorite, soared to number one on iTunes. Their "Take Me Home Tour" was a full success as it exemplified just how vocally talented this band really was.
"Midnight Memories" was followed by One Direction's movie "This Is Us" that captured the life of Zayn, Niall, Liam, Harry and Louis while on tour with their friends and family, ultimately ending at their performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Just last year in 2014 (although it seems like last month) the band produced their fourth album "Four."
But in March 2015 breaking news hit the fan: Zayn Malik was leaving One Direction. Fans around the world were devastated. How could One Direction be One Direction without Zayn Malik?
Somehow, they did it.
"Made in the AM" consists of 17 songs that range from slow and calming to fun and energetic music. The songs can all be considered love songs. "I Want to Write You a Song", "If I Could Fly", and "Infinity" are the more slow songs that are sung by angels, aka One Direction. On the other hand, the more energetic and dancing songs include "Wolves," "Temporary Fix", and "Never Enough."
After this album, though, and a possible tour, One Direction has decided to take a one to two-year hiatus. The young men are no longer teenagers and have been working their butts off for the past five to six years with barely any rest, so this break is definitely well deserved. Although many fans will miss them, they still have a long way to go.
