If you want non-stop action from start to finish, “Mad Max: Fury Road” is the movie that you must see.
“Mad Max: Fury Road” has a star studded cast that includes talented actors such as Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron ,and Nicolas Hoult. The great thing about “Mad Max: Fury Road” is that the movie’s plot is very simple on paper, and doesn’t require that you watch the previous three “Mad Max” films. The basic premise of the film’s franchise is a war over gasoline in a post apocalyptic wasteland, and like I said before, is not necessary information to know before going in to see this movie. In “Mad Max: Fury Road”, the main character Max (Tom Hardy) is captured by a bunch of “War Boys” and becomes prisoner to the almost dictator-like character known as Immortan Joe. Meanwhile, Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) is supposed to be on a mission for Immortan Joe, but is actually trying to save a group of girls that have been imprisioned. The movie becomes an action packed game of cat and mouse after this once Immortan Joe realizes they have been taken from the citadel and goes to chase after them.
I feel that the casting for this movie was nothing special, but was done well nonetheless. Tom Hardy does a great job at playing the character of Mad Max even though he barely speaks in the whole movie. If I had to guess, the guy probably had less than a hundred lines, yet he manages to deliver a great performance in the film, which is very hard to do considering the fact that we hardly see him open his mouth. Charlize Theron and Nicolas Hoult also do phenomenal job performing as their characters, as well. They act as if they are actually in a post apocalyptic war in a wasteland. They are also the characters that have more of a speaking role since Tom Hardy doesn’t fulfill that role, and they are great replacements for him.
Overall, I would say that this movie is very entertaining to watch. I am not kidding when I say that this movie is non-stop action from start to finish.The action scenes are also some of the best action scenes I have ever seen in any movie. They’re exciting, entertaining and adrenaline pumping. The story itself is also not too bad, which action movies tend to miss on at times.
A lot of action movies nowadays online focus on the action and none of the story, which makes the movie somewhat difficult to fully enjoy. I’m glad that this one was able to use a simple story and not overdo it, while also balancing it out with action. The movie starts out a bit slow, and is very confusing at first if you haven't seen the older films, but again it's not a requirement. I had not seen the previous movies and still had a great time watching it. I would give this movie a 90%, and would definitely recommend seeing it or purchasing it.
