If you have been following my past few articles, you have probably noticed by now that I have a strong appreciation for music, life lessons and life lessons that can be found through music. I love the idea that there is a song that can explain any situation better than words can. I love the idea that music can help people make it through tough situations. I love the idea that music can fill a void. With that being said, I have narrowed it down to my top lyrics by a few of my favorite artists that help me through my everyday life.

"Let It Go" - James Bay.

"Leave it to the breeze."

Let it go.

"In Time" - Kris Allen.

"It's in the shattered places we first see the light."

There is always some type of good that can come out of every bad situation.

"Lego House" - Ed Sheeran.

"I'm going to pick up the pieces and build a lego house - if things go wrong we can knock it down."

It's OK to start over.

"Looks Like Love" - NEEDTOBREATHE.

"Breeze can only be when she overcomes the heat. Our hearts can only shake when there's risk that they could break."

Don't run - take chances.

"Disconnected" - 5 Seconds of Summer.

"Turn off the radio, those late night TV shows. Hang up the telephone and just be here with me."

Live in the moment.

"Time Will Come" - Kris Allen.

"I'm such a long way from where I want to be but I keep on moving on because I know my time will come."

The future is a beautiful place, even though it may not seem like it right now.

"The Sound" - The 1975.

"And we left things to protect my mental health."

Your sanity is the most important thing. Do what is best for you.

"Incomplete" - James Bay.

"The world will turn and we'll grow, we'll learn how to be incomplete."

Sometimes, it's OK not to be OK. You can still make it through.

"Jennie" - Parachute.

"Time is a straight line and life always goes on."

This too shall pass.

"I Don't Wanna Be" - Gavin DeGraw.

"I don't wanna be anything other than what I've been trying to be lately. All I have to do is think of me and have peace of mind."

Be the best version of yourself, every day.

"Never Ending Circles" - CHVRCHES.

"Cut off - I'll go my way if I'm going at all."

Again I say, do what is best for you.

"Hold On" - Phillip Phillips.

"Life is too short to stop and stare at the blank page that shows your way."

Don't stress when things don't go as planned.

"Scars" - James Bay.

"We live through scars this time but I've made up my mind - we can't leave us behind anymore."

Don't leave yourself and your feelings behind.

"Heartbeat" - The Fray.

"Don't look back - not for anything."

Keep moving forward.

"Headphones" - Matt Nathanson.

"I've got all I need to feel invincible with my headphones on."

Music helps.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
