There is a song that has recently been on the radio a lot recently and it's a song that has been on repeat in my head. It's called brother by The Brilliance. The song basically goes When I look into the face of my enemy I see my brother. I love this song. It is a common reminder that I need to love the people around me. They may not be my favorite person in the world but I still need to love them. The people in this world are hurting and a lot of them just want to be loved.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:43-48, "[ LoveYourEnemies ] “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Loveyourenemies and pray for those who persecute you so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. ... " We are called to love the people in this broken and hurting world. I was bullied a lot in school because I was different.

I grew up in a town where I was the minority. I was white and the minority in that town. I got bullied every day because I was different. I always tried to treat those who hurt me with kindness. Was it easy well no of course not. There were times when I wanted to hurt them as much as they hurt me, but instead I treated them with kindness. I showed love instead of hate. There is already so much hate in this world. You just turn on the news and it's filled with hatred. If we could all show just a little bit more of kindness it would go a long way. So I challenge everyone do one kind act for another person every day. It can be as simple as asking them how their day is going. It doesn't have to be much. Just show others that you care. Show them love.
