This past week, I spent part of my spring break in one of my all time favorite places: Walt Disney World. I have been coming here since I was 4 years old and this trip was my 9th visit. I love everything about Walt Disney World. I love the rides, I love the food, and I love the magic of it. I find it fascinating that a cartoonist from Missouri managed to build two incredible parks, one of which happens to be my favorite.
While I talk more about my love for Disney, here's a list of some of my favorite things:
1. Favorite park: Magic Kingdom
This is a no brainer. I love everything about this park. I love all the worlds, I love the rides, and it has two of my favorite restaurants in all of Disney World.
2. Favorite ride: Pirates of the Caribbean
This is hands down my favorite ride at Disney. I could ride it 20,000 times in a row and never get tired of it.
3. Favorite thrill ride: Test Track
This is easy because I don't like thrill rides. This is the only "thrill ride" I can actually ride
4. Favorite restaurant: Liberty Tree Tavern
I absolutely love this restaurant. I love the concept, I love that it's all you can eat family style, and I love how it's always delicious
5. Favorite princess: Belle
If I was still into meeting princesses (which, frankly, I am) Belle is by far my favorite. She's smart, loves to read like me, and loves Beast for what's on the inside, not the outside.
6. Favorite snack item: Dole Whip
I had never had this until this past trip and let me tell you, it was delicious. You can find it at a refreshment stand near the Enchanted Tiki Room in Adventureland. It's basically whipped pineapple soft serve but it's fantastic.
7. Favorite country in Epcot: United Kingdom
While I absolutely love the actual United Kingdom, I also love the mini version in Epcot. I like the shops, the pubs, and all the people.
8. Favorite merchandise store: World of Disney, Disney Springs
This is in Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney) and it's the largest merchandise store for Disney. It has absolutely everything the other parks sell, all in one place.
As I said, Disney will always have a special place in my heart. I hope to keep coming back and I hope to bring my kids back someday. I hope they find it just as magical as I always have.
