This entire week has gone by in a blur like the way the world looks when you're gazing out the window of a speeding car. Since Monday morning, I have been looking forward to this Friday night and getting my first night to be lazy and have a nice night in--no traveling for tennis for one of the few times during the season. Since some people might not understand why a lazy night appeals to me so much compared to a night out, I've compiled a few of the endless benefits of a lazy night.
1. Napping
Setting an alarm for a nap and knowing you don't have to wake up and do homework is the best feeling--I could nap anywhere for hours at a time.
2. Netflix, Youtube, and catching up on shows
To not feel guilty about wasting time is so nice. During the week, if I do any of the above, I feel guilty knowing I could be doing work but not on a lazy night in!
3. Going to bed early
Sleep in my #1 life priority tied with food.
4. Doing or not doing homework
Having the option to get ahead on homework is actually a luxury--there's no pressure to do it now, but if I have energy to do so I can.
5. Chilling with friends
Just hanging out with friends in the dorms and chilling is even more fun to me than going out.
6. Eating in bed
Maybe it seems strange, but I can't do this during the week because I will fall asleep and not finish work, but it doesn't matter if it's a chill weekend night in.
7. Organizing
I don't have time to do this during the week so by Friday or Saturday it's time.
8. Baking
Baking cookies or making brownies is something I don't have time for during the week yet is so fun and relaxing.
9. Time to catch up with friends/family from home
Skype dates and phone calls home are always nice.
10. To do lists
For me, making to do lists relaxes my mind and not having to complete these lists until later is even better.
