When it comes to Carrie, I don’t know where to begin. Honestly, I’m still waiting for her to become the next Disney Princess. Prince Big, anyone? But in all seriousness, Carrie is the epitome of everything a girl could ever hope to become. I adore everything about Carrie, yet I’ve somehow managed to narrow down a list of … well, everything I love about Carrie.
- Her friends. Every girl needs her group of friends, and if yours are as amazing as Charlotte, Miranda, Samantha and, of course, Stanford, you’re doing it right.
- Her career. She sits in her New York apartment and writes for her sex column. COME ON.
- Her clothes. Can we talk about the iconic scene in her closet during the first movie? You could never see an episode and watch that one part, and just know.
- Her hair. From short, curly bob to long locks, Carrie can shamelessly rock it all.
- Her shoes. What better way to spend money you don’t have than on a pair of shoes? Carrie never had kids because of her love affair with shoes. Kids, shoes, practically one in the same.
- Big. It’s Big.
- Aiden (read Big).
- Berger (read Big).
- Petrovsky (read Big).
- Her scream. This may be weird for you fake fans, because if you don’t know her super cute high pitch scream, I don’t want to be friends with you.
- Her wedding dress. Stupid Big. Vivienne Westwood is going to give me a dress for my wedding, too. I can feel it.
- Her hands. This one is weird even for me, but her nails are never done, never painted, and still look perfect.
- Her financial knowledge. “I like to see my money … hanging in my closet.”
- Her inability to use technology. When Samantha hands Carrie her iPhone to call Big.
- Her penthouse closet. With the casual $600 Manolo’s she almost forgot about.
- Her personality. Dramatic, like me, so I must be doing it right.
- Her body. If I can look half that good when I’m in my thirties, I’ll be content.
- Her advice. Carrie provides her followers with endless amounts of wisdom. Like how to handle getting dumped on a Post-It.
- Her apartment. You had me at Manhattan.
While her shopping habits may not be realistic for most, perhaps the most attractive thing about Carrie is that she is relatable. She is still figuring out herself, her life, and who she wants to spend it with. And that is okay with her. Carrie does not rush her life, she lets events unfold and learns lessons along the way. She makes mistakes, falls in love, gets dumped, and still manages to be fabulous. Carrie never disappoints. (Except when she wasted her time with Aiden.)
