Well, here we are. The denial and attempted ignorance must come to an end. Or does it? We've been saying our goodbyes to Michelle, Sasha, Malia, and Barack, but have we said our goodbyes to the first dogs? Bo and Sunny are missing some TLC. I think it's time for some SUPER CUTE DOG GIFS.

We all remember getting the news that the first family would be adding another member to their family in 2008.

And thus, Bo Obama, a Portuguese Water Dog, was running across the freshly mowed lawns in front of the White House.

But then Obama was re-elected in 2012 and what better way to celebrate than by getting ANOTHER dog?!

So, we all welcomed the ironically named Sunny into the White House... and into our hearts.

And with the two of them, we have been through it all:

and walks of shame on Sunday mornings.

It's been a crazy 8 years. Now, we look to the future... that may or may not scare some people.

We've all been running away from our problems since that fateful election night. Let's be real though, Sunny has probably been practicing his sprint to Canada for months now.

But if Trump thinks we're going down without a fight, then he is sadly mistaken. May the fires in our hearts continue to burn and may we continue to work towards a future we would all want the pure Bo and Sunny to live in.
