Looking Forward To My Future

As I wake up each morning, I wonder how my days will be. What challenges ahead I will face, today, tomorrow and farther in the future? I live a good life and am on a steady path in following my dream to becoming a physical and health educator.

Physical education teaches so much more than just running around in a gym or playing a sport. It gives children a chance to exercise, learn team-building skills, anger management, rules, camaraderie, and physical challenges, to name a few. These physical education activities will be transferred into children’s play through adulthood. Health education teaches the importance of being and staying healthy. That the right path taught early in life could make a difference in their health in the future. I can't wait to see my students one day have a smile on their face because they succeeded at something I taught them.

Overall, my past experiences and family history have made me into the student and educator I am today and will continue to grow into daily. Every day I will continue to learn and experience. My teaching style will change with new knowledge and new experiences. This is a never-ending process.

I will continue to strive to be the best teacher I can possibly be. I am looking forward to where my field experience in the classroom will take me. The adventures of learning never end.

As per the quote of William A. Ward, “The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.”

I remember how exciting summer was when I was a kid. I would just be eagerly waiting for school to end so that I could fly to some exotic location with my family for the summer. Or hang out with my friends every day. Or just lay around in bed or read, paint, draw, basically do whatever.

When we think of events that have transpired in the US over the last few years, a lot of it ends up in spotlighting the division in the country. However, things across the pond seem to be no better - at least when it comes to sports. Last week, Real Madrid - arguably the richest sports franchise in the world, had one of their Brazilian strikers subject to vicious racist attacks in Valencia. The player, Vini Jr posted this example video in his Insta account:
