Calling all ice cream lovers! Here’s the scoop on some of the greatest creameries the island has to offer. There are hundreds of shops from the south shore to the north shore and from Nassau to Suffolk County but only a handful can be considered the fan favorites of all time!

1. Coyle’s

With two locations, staying away from one will be nearly impossible. Coyle’s homemade ice cream has been craved by long islanders since their first spoonful in 1985. This summer time sweet escape offers a wide range of sweet treats. Shakes, Cones, Sundaes and more however everyone always brags about their out of this world ice cream cakes.

2. Magic Fountain

This barn shaped ice cream shop is home to some of the most mouthwatering flavors you will ever try. With nearly 40 one of a kind flavors you will have more than one favorite. You will never leave with an empty stomach or an empty wallet.

3. McNulty’s Ice Cream Polar

This Miller Place sweet secret has been perfectly placed in a residential community since 1992. Its location is key for those heading to or from Cedar Beach during Long Island summers. McNulty’s offer both indoor seating although it is limited especially when accommodating its large crowds. People travel to this little shop to try exciting flavors including Raspberry Truffle and Vanilla Peanut Butter Chunk. They only except cash so make sure you stop by an ATM before you cure your ice cream cravings.
