Growing up with three younger sisters, I totally took advantage of the fact that I had built-in best friends and never really appreciated my relationships with them. Going away to school has drastically changed that outlook. This is what it is like to live five hours away from your baby sisters. 

1. When you are going home for the first time in awhile and can't wait to see her. 

2. When you see a picture on Instagram and she's wearing the clothes you left at home, and they look cuter on her than they did on you. 

3. When she totally gets wrapped up in her scrub of a high school boyfriend, and you know she is going to completely forget him when she sees the guys in college.

4. When you give some expert advice over the phone and she takes it to heart.

5. When all your sisters do something really fun without you.

6. When she texts you saying she is really upset about something and you cannot do anything for her, but all you want to do is hug her and make everything okay.

7. When she succeeds at something, and you tell everyone you know -- even though they have no idea who you are talking about -- because you are just so proud of her.

8. When something significant happens in her life and she doesn't even call you, so you find out from your mom.

9. When she says she might want to go to a different college than you.

10. When she asks if you miss her.
