Best Local Places To Get Food In Minnesota

Growing up in Minnesota, I always loved going to the local restaurants in my very own hometown, Good ole' Bemidji. However, there are a few others that have some of the best food you'll ever eat.

1. C.K. Dudley's

I will admit I am a little biased on this one. However, I didn't start working there until after I had tasted how amazing their food is. Located in Bemidji, MN. C.K. Dudley's has some of the best brisket, prime rib, wings, oh and my personal favorite, their sweet potato tots. Also, I hear their blue balls are really something to talk about!

2. Minnesota Nice Cafe

This has been my go-to since I was a kid. Whether it was after church brunch with grandma and grandpa, or the day after prom for some of the best pancakes. Personally, my favorite thing about MN Nice Cafe, is the atmosphere. Familiar faces, with a comfy, only in MN atmosphere. Also, did I mention their pancakes?

3. Matt's Bar & Grill

Located in Minneapolis, MN, Matt's Bar & Grill which was also shown on the famous television show that some may be familiar with known as, Food Wars and Man vs. Food. And, is also known as home of the Juicy Lucy. If you're unfamiliar with what a Juicy Lucy is, a Juicy Lucy consists of your typical hamburger patty with a twist. When preparing the patty gobs and gobs of cheese is tucked away inside the burger. If that isn't something to sink your teeth into, I don't know what is.

4. Truffles and Tortes Dessert Cafe

Located in Anoka, MN. Truffles and Tortes is known for their wide variety of cheesecakes, cookies, scones, cakes, tortes, etc. However, they do serve lunch. While I personally have not had any of their lunch choices, their chocolate cake is to DIE for! Take it from someone who personally despises chocolate AND cake unless it is hand in hand with piles of peanut butter.

5. Black: Coffee & Waffle Bar

Also located in Minneapolis, MN. While I have yet to try it out for myself, everyone that has been there, seems to fall in love. Their menu is exactly what you'd expect it to be, waffles and coffee. Waffle combinations ranging from ham and swiss and even strawberry cheesecake. This one is definitely on my list to try out!
