You start off college as a freshman scared, vulnerable, and nervous of the unknown. Will you make amazing friends and will those friendships last? Like everything in life, things change. Your friends you make freshmen year might transfer or move on, it happens. New friends are waiting right around the corner for you, so do not be afraid to put yourself out there. Over the past three years, my friends have changed, losing some and gaining some until we found our perfect group.
1. Sharing Clothes.
Even though you have a ton of your own clothes you will get bored of them and feel like you have nothing to wear. Well, guess what...you do not have to worry about that anymore! You just gained four closets filled with clothes to rifle through. When you live with your best friends your closets basically become each other's closets.
2. It's Always a Party.
Whether you are all home or just two of you are home, you are always ready to party. You don't always have to go out in order to have fun when you already have your roomies right there with you! Dance parties are just waiting to break out after a long day...or the beer pong table.
3. Movie Nights.
And when you all don't feel like going out...Netflix is ready, stocked with TV shows and movies. Get the popcorn popping, grab some beers or pour some wine, plug the laptop into the TV, get the favorite movie up, tons of fuzzy blankets and you are set to go. Movie nights with your best friends who also happen to be your roomies are the best. When you get tired you don't even have to leave, you can fall asleep cuddled up next to your best friends.
4. Roomie Dinner Nights.
There is usually always someone to eat dinner with, even if you just made yourself a giant plate of spaghetti all to yourself. Sunday's will become roomie dinner night where you all decide what type of food you want and cook all together. There is nothing like sitting around the dinner table after a long week catching up on your roomies' lives, even though you know everything already!
5. Your Best Friends Are Always There When You Need Them.
One if not all of your best friends are always there when you need to vent or need a hug. You will never be left alone to sulk or cry. You live with four of your best friends, they will know immediately when something is wrong and they will be there to listen and help you through it.
6. There is Always Someone Who Wants to Run Errands With You.
Whether you are running to the liquor store or to CVS one of your roomies are most likely going to want to go with you. You will never be lonely doing those boring errands. Running errands with your best friends always turns into little road trips and adventures.
7. You Always Have The Best Pre-Games.
Every pre-game starts with shots. That one roomie will yell "SHOTS!", and just like that, you all have a shot in your hands cheering to the night. The music will be blasting and it will sound like about fifty people are there when in reality it is just yourself and your four best friends having a good time (especially if it is the day you all have been waiting for...Thursday!!!).
8. Snuggling Up Next To Your Best Friends is Always an Option.
If you are in the mood to snuggle chances are one of your roomies wants to as well. Climb into your bed with your roomies during the afternoon nap time or at 3am for a heart to heart snuggle session.
9. Cleaning The Townhouse Together is More Fun.
No one really likes cleaning (unless you are Monica from Friends). When you have your best friends to do it with you though it becomes easy, quick, and fun. Throw some music on, dance around and before you know it, it is all done.
10. You Will Have Four Best Friends Ready to Tell You Their Outfit Opinions.
Need help figuring out if the outfit you have on is hot enough or too much for the night? Don't worry, your roomies will be there ready with their honest opinions. Don't be surprised if they tell you ABSOLUTELY NOT to something. Chances are they are going to agree with the gif because come on everything looks hot on our best friends.
P.S. I don't know what I would do without my best friends and roomies, xoxo.
