Living with your sister can quite honestly be some of the best and the worst parts of your life. I mean, who knew that sharing a bathroom with someone could make you fear for your life...? I'm sorry, I take really long showers. But, when you're in need of that super cute shirt she owns, you might want to suck up a little bit and make the 50 minute shower, turn into something more like a 5 minute shower...

Having a sister seven years older than me, I understand the struggle of trying to live compatibly with your sibling. We snickered, we hit, we threw stuff, we stole stuff, she told me I was adopted and we made each other cry. We're not entirely sure how our mom did it, but somehow we're all still alive. But at the end of the day, your sibling is truly your built in best friend, and what better way to tell our story than by our idols, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.

When you successfully sneak her shirt out of her closet.

She's been in her room all night and you know she's too lame to leave her room, but you're going out and let's be real, her wardrobe is way cuter than yours. But when she sneaks into the bathroom, it's your turn to swoop into her room to grab that shirt. And quite frankly, nothing seems quite as satisfying as when you have that shirt in your hand.

When she's trying to be cute but you're just so much cuter.

Good luck taking cute pictures when your little sister is as cute as me, because you know I won't forget it and I will make sure no one else does.

When you're stuck at some family event and someone tells you you both look nice.

We've all been to those family events where you just don't know if that's a long lost family member or some random guy off the street. But when that person walks up to tell you that you and your sister look nice, you best be ready for us to flaunt it because we know we're the cutest siblings at the event.

Nothing is better than those days when you try to be funny and your sister just stares at you.

You know when you telling a hilarious story and everyone just kind of awkwardly stares at you? But you have that one friend that you can count on to laugh anyway? Yeah, your older sister is probably not going to be that person so if you haven't figured it out by now, you're not funny.

When you walk past her room and see your shoes sitting on her floor.

I mean, she might as well just say her goodbyes now because this isn't going to end well. Your comfortable little home has now turned into a battle ground and there's no turning back. We all know that it's only okay to steal clothes when I'M the one who needs them.

When she manages to impress your parents with her perfect EVERYTHING so you have to make up for it.

Okay, yes she's really smart, and yes she travels everywhere but can she pat her head and rub her belly? No, so who's the real winner here?

When you meet her boyfriend for the first time and you have to approve first.

No one understand my sister like I do, so you know I'm going to approve first. I've got to make sure that this boy is in line to deal with my sister on her best and her worst days.

But don't forget about those times when your mom took her side in the argument.

Being the younger sibling, I've experienced the true betrayal of when your mom takes her side in an argument. Time heals, my friends.

But despite the constant arguing and losing half of your wardrobe... She truly is your best friend.

Despite the screaming, the hitting, the stealing, and the "YOU'RE ADOPTED"'s, she's still my sister and I love her (even though I have to). So I guess I'm saying thank you for always being there for me, for understanding my chaos, having a cute wardrobe, and for being my best friend. I couldn't ask for a better person to suffer through family events with.

And never forget that I'm the...

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
