“You and I will be together till the end of time. I promise, I will never let you go, now when I know you love me.” He sang these lines to her.
In every girl's life, there is a guy she will never forget and a fall where it all started. It all began on a Friday night at a university party in the fall semester, where all the students were invited. A Sophomore student name Samir entered the party and Zeenia couldn’t set her eyes off of him.
She still remembers the feeling she felt when she first approached him and initiated their very first conversation. The party was about to end but Zeenia didn’t have it in her to share her feelings with the guy. They both hugged each other at the end of the party and left. But they were no means of communication.
Suddenly Zeenia became sad for no reason, and it took her the whole weekend to get over that feeling. It was a start to a new week. She was working on her assignment and her phone vibrated. It was an email from Samir.
As she read the email she got a big smile on her face. Samir really liked the little time they spent together and in the end of that email, he left his number. The girl couldn’t wait and texted her the next minute.
While talking on messages Zeenia gathered enough strength and told Samir all about her feelings she had for him. Zeenia told him how she saw him daily in university. And the way he used to smile, all she could think was “Oh shit.”
She didn’t just fall in love with him once. She falls in love with him every time she looked at him. They started the journey as friends. And when they got to know each other, Zeenia asked him out.
Samir said no, thinking about the different religion they belong to and he didn’t have enough in him to let Zeenia hanging. Zeenia was so serious about him that she was even ready to change her religion for him.
After hearing this, Samir kept his foot down and said yes to her. Their love for each other was inseparable.
The next morning, they met before their class. And today this meeting was different. When they saw each other, the moment went immobilized. Samir walked towards her, grabbed her by the throat but he didn’t choke her. Just kissed her so deep that she forgot whose air she was breathing.
It was her first kiss ever. She went home all excited that day until she realized that her parents fixed her engagement with a family friend.
She couldn’t go against her parents' decision. And gave up on Samir. Samir never saw this coming but all he wanted was her happiness, so he left. He left with one note saying, ”Even if you text me after six months at 4 a.m., I will reply you the next second.”
Even today when they see each other she smiles. But he doesn’t let it fool him. He still looks in her eyes and see she is still breaking inside. The truth is, she is the reason, he doesn’t believe in love anymore.
