In Alpha Delta Pi, you don't just have a little, you have a little diamond. Some people may not know what this means or how special the relationship between a diamond and her big is. Fortunately, I was able to get together with some girls from my sorority and find out what is so special about it. Some of the ladies from the Zeta Phi chapter of Alpha Delta tell me why they love their little diamond:
"I love my little diamond because she completes me."
- Courtney Canipe
"She was cut from the same worry wart, clumsy, goof ball cloth as I was. I wouldn't be anywhere without her!"
- Lauran Hudson
"I decided to take another little diamond because I loved having one so much that I figured two would be even better!"
- Caroline Alexander
"It's hard to explain until you have a little diamond, but she's like my child, I love to watch her grow in Alpha Delta Pi and she makes me utterly proud."
- Madison Porter
"I love my little diamond because we share the same embarrassing habits and we can just laugh at them."
- Hunter Weaver
"My little diamond is my rock. She is one of the strongest people I know and I so proud of the woman she's become and I can't wait to see the things she accomplishes in the future."
- Anyssa Linville
"I love my little diamond because she does not hesitate to make it feel accomplished even if it is just something so little. I know she will always love me no matter what and not only has she become my little sister but also my best friend."
- Kelli Polatty
"I love how much positivity [my little diamond] has, she teaches me how to always look on the bright side of things!"
- Sarah Fox
"I love my little diamond because she is a constant reminder to me that I should always be the best version of myself because I want to make her proud to say 'that's my big'."
- Bailey Brown
"I love my little diamond because I know she will always have my back no matter what and she is someone who I look up to and she inspires me everyday."
- Rebecca Stinson
"I love my little diamond because she is a perfect representation of what a woman of Alpha Delta Pi should be: full of kindness, inner and outer beauty, and grace."
- Madison Hucks
And, for my future little: let me just tell you that you will be loved very much. I can't wait to get you, to laugh with you, to cry with you, taking way too many adorable big/little diamond photos with you, and spend the rest of my life with you. These big diamonds have shown me the true gift of having a little diamond, and I will cherish you like these ladies, your sisters, cherish their own little diamonds.
The only thing better than having a little is having a little diamond.
