This year, you're bound to see costumes like Donald Trump, scary clowns and Harley Quinn because those three costume ideas are major topics in our society right now. But, do you want to follow everyone's ideas and be the 100th Harley Quinn walking around campus on Halloweekend? I didn't think so either. Here's a list of costume ideas you can do with a group of your friends or by yourself.

1. The Seven Dwarfs

Get a group of 7 of your girlfriends and be the Seven Dwarfs. It's easy; different colored beanies, t-shirts, shorts and belts. You're good to go!

2. "Orange is the New Black"

One of Netflix's most popular T.V shows, Orange is the New Black, is a perfectly easy costume idea for a group of friends. Get yourself some scrubs and decide who's playing who!

3."Mario Kart"

I can almost promise you, no one else on campus is going all out with bikes and balloons. So why not your group of friends?

4. "Mean Girls"

The classic movie Mean Girls can be turned into a girl's costume. Hilarious and different, you can create this costume from your closet!

5. "Curious George"

If you got yourself a Man in a Yellow Hat, be his Curious George!

6. "Sandy from Grease"

Tell me about it, Stud.

7. "The Purge"

Although this costume could be a little misleading, being the Purge with a group of your friends could be really entertaining.

8. Scuba Steve

This one's a personal favorite. If you ever watched Big Daddy growing up, Scuba Steve was a huge part of the movie. I would die laughing if I ever saw a guy dressed as this for Halloween.

9. "Rugrats"

How stinkin' cute is this! Dress up as your favorite Rugrats character with a group of guy & girl friends.

10. "Lilo & Stitch"

Yet another creative one that you can do on your own; Lilo & Stitch.

11. Frat Boys

Ah, so typical of a college costume, yet, so easy.

12. Emojis

Any type of emoji can be done hysterically. Whether it be solo, with one person or with a group, get some emoji costumes done for Halloween.


The list of Halloween costumes can go on and on. These are just a few ideas that not everyone thinks about doing. So instead of being Donald Trump, a nerd, Hillary Clinton, Harley Quinn, or a 'sexy' Harambe, maybe consider something from this list or something a little more creative. Seriously, none of us want to see a Harley Quinn on every single corner.
