If you know anything about me at all, you'll understand my love of vibrant and bold lipsticks. The only problem arises when it's time to eat or drink anything because the lipstick ALWAYS comes off. After some hits and misses, I've narrowed down my top 5 favorite lipstick/ lip stain brands that hold their color and keep you looking fresh! Some of them are sort of pricey, but I promise, they're worth it! Feel free to comment which ones worked for you, and also comment your own favorites so I can try them! (Oh, and don't forget your lip primer!!)
5. Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Color- $7.99
I love how this stays on. The application process is so annoying, though. You have to make sure that you coat your lips thinly and evenly during the first layer. If your lips touch, then everything is ruined. What's kind of cool though is the gloss layer that you apply when your lips look weak. It doesn't stay on for the full 24 hours as advertised, but your lips look fire for about 9 hours.
4. Rimmel London Show Off Lip Velvet- $4.99
LOVE this lipstick. The color is so smooth and rich. I got about five hours out of this lip stain, but there wasn't a whole lot of issues reapplying later. If you want something cheap, but will still do the job, purchase this lip stain!
3. NYX High Voltage, Liquid Suede, and Matte- $6, $7, $6
Ugh, I adore NYX. Their colors are so amazing and you feel so strong wearing them. My favorite is the Liquid Suede. It layers nicely and looks hella good on. Their colors are a little dense and will sometimes dry out your lips, but they're worth it. I get about 6 hours out of these lipsticks, but it doesn't matter because the colors are so amazing. Plus, they're super cheap and can be found in the Holy Land of Target. :)
2. Revlon Ultra HD Matte- $8.99
This lip stain has been my favorite since it came out and the only reason it's not number one is because it doesn't stay on as long as my #1 choice. My lips feel so smooth after using this product and the color stays on for about 8 hours. Usually ULTA has these buy-one-get-one, so always be on the lookout!
1. Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick- $24
This is the most expensive one, but it's so worth it. This lipstick brand is one that was just introduced to me and I love it. There's already primer oil in the formula, so you can skip that step of your application process. It layers really well and can last through 3 cups of tea, a night of drinking, and two meals. Honestly, buy this!!! It'll change your life.
