As I am sitting in the theater watching "Patriots Day," I realized that life is way to short.
You never know what will happen to you every new day. No one thought anyone would bomb the Boston Marathon or crash two planes into The World Trade Center or shoot millions of people worldwide. Millions think we have all the time in the world to live their life, we honestly don't. One of the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing was only 8. He will never graduate high school, go to college, get married to the love of his life, become a dad, or grow old watching his grandkids grow up. For people who have done all these things or some of them are lucky. They have made it through their life or are living it. For many of us we are just beginning.
A lot of teens or people in their 20s are still living in the past. I will admit was too until recently. I see a lot of people writing articles about the person who hurt them, whether it is their ex boyfriend or girlfriend or best friend. I too had a best friend in high school and we haven't talked for almost two years. I never really knew why, but recently I have let every past relationship go. I'm out of high school and it is time for me to grow up. I'm halfway done with my college education, and yes I haven't found a group of friends that I can hangout with on weekends, but I am not going to let that get in the way of my dreams.
I want to graduate college and get an amazing job that I love coming to everyday. I want to marry the love of my life and have his kids. I want to grow old with him watching our grandkids growup. I don't want to wait because life is to short. We really don't know when our life is going to end. It is just the beginning of 2017 and I am no longer living in the past, I am living in the present and future and will until my time comes.
