Being a college student is hard. The papers, the homework, the tests, the studying. It's a wonder why sometimes we all don't just drop out. With all of this stress, it's nice to have fun sometimes too. Here is the life of a college student according to FRIENDS.

1. Realizing you have a 10 page paper due in 24 hours that you haven't started.

2. When you see your friend from across the dining hall.

3. How your professors yell at you when they write corrections on your essay.

4. How finals week feels.

5. Introductions on the first day of class.

6. What you tell yourself when you have three tests and ten hours of online homework in one week.

7. What you tell yourself when you gain the freshman fifteen.

8. When your friend tells you need to relax and not worry about homework.

9. When your professor makes yet another biased political remark.

10. Friday nights.

11. When everyone seems to have a significant other.

12. Trying to make friends in class.

13. Finishing that 10 page paper at two AM.

14. When you find out their will be free food in the quad.

15. Trying to sound sophisticated because you're a college student and all.

16. Eating the dining hall food.

17. How you read four chapters in one night.

18. With all this struggle, the FRIENDS you make are forever.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
