"The Hills" in my opinion is the best show ever to come to MTV. It brought us love, fashion, drama, friendship goals, and most importantly Lauren Conrad. LC graced our TV over ten years ago. Her life lessons are just as relevant now as they were back in the day. Here are the top 21 things I learned from LC.
1."You’ve got to believe that there are people who really want the best for you."
2."As soon as you stop thinking about them, they'll send you a text, because they know you stopped thinking about them."
How do they do this?!
3."Sometimes things have to get worse before they can get better."
Things may be bad but know everything will get better eventually.
4."I don’t think it’s about trusting people, it’s about knowing who to trust." 
You've got to be careful with who you trust because some people aren't always looking out for your best interest.
5."Sometimes you have people in your life who you just can’t be friends with."
If you can't trust someone, then why keep them in your life?
6."There's no time like the present to make a fresh start."
You have every day to begin again, don't keep making the same mistakes.
7."I used to care a lot about what people thought about me, then I learned I definitely can’t please everyone. Some people will like you, some people will hate you, but I really don’t care either way. I’m not losing sleep over it."
Don't worry about anybody else just be yourself.
8."I’d rather have a few true friends than a lot of fake crappy ones."
It's not about the quantity of friends — it's the quality of the friends.
9."You can never make the same mistake twice.The second time you make it, it’s no longer a mistake; it’s a choice."
You can't keep asking for forgiveness for something you know is wrong.
10."If others are jealous, you’re doing something right."
You keep doing you!
11."When you are looking to meet someone, you are looking to settle. Because you are not looking for someone, you are looking for anyone."
When it's meant to be it'll happen. Quit trying so hard to make anything work.
12."Don’t cry over someone who wouldn’t cry over you."
Don't waste your time worrying about someone who doesn't think twice about you.
13."Sometimes all there is left to do is forgive and forget."
You don't need to keep going back to the same person who's hurt you.
14."Sometimes you just have to take a step back and realize what is important in your life, what you can live with but most importantly what you can’t live without."
It's not about the material things in life be grateful for your relationships.
15."Love is not a maybe thing."
If you're questioning it, it's probably not love.
16."Life’s tough. Get a helmet."
You gotta face things head on.
17."While the future is bright, I cannot forget the missteps I have made along the way. My mistakes ended up teaching me the most invaluable lessons."
Don't forget where you came from, but don't dwell on the past. Learn from your mistakes.
18. "You have the rest of your life to be married. Enjoy falling in love. When girls get caught up in the timeline, it becomes more about the wedding than the marriage. You should be with someone with whom you could elope this weekend and be happy."
Just let things happen, don't force it.

I think One Direction had a little inspiration from her.
20."Life isn’t an island. You have to have other people in your life."
When things get tough don't isolate yourself. Your friends are there to help you out.
21."Sometimes no matter how much you like a guy, they're no good for you."
If they're not looking out for your best interest they're not worth your time.
So, thank you, LC, for teaching us about all the hard life lessons in life and that you can come out in the end even more fabulous than you were before.
