Christine Caine is many things. She's an author, an activist, a phenomenal speaking, Australian, passionate, and most importantly a disciple of God. She is one of the greatest Christian women I have ever heard speak in my entire life. She is strong, powerful, and just all around amazing. Here are a few quotes from her that changed my life:

1. "Don’t let what was done to you, be bigger than what Jesus did for you."

Every time I hear this quote I am reminded that our God is so much bigger than our problems. Sometimes I believe that my problems are so big that nothing will be able to fix them, In this quote Christine reminds me that I'm stupid and God is awesome.

2. “Nothing about my birth - or yours - was random or accidental. I was born for this time - and so were you. We were each chosen for a particular, cosmically important task that can be done by no one else.”

Well, if this doesn't make you feel important I don't know what would. We're all called for something super important for the kingdom of God.

3. “Sometimes when you're in a dark place you think you've been buried, but you've actually been planted.”

I don't know about you, but I feel this way pretty often. Life seems dark but you're exactly where you need to be.

4. “Often the very things that you think have disqualified you are the ones that qualify you to do what God has called you to do.”

This ruins anyone's arguments that they can't be a good disciple or a good influence because of their past.

5. "Light works most effectively in darkness."

This seems almost super obvious, but sometimes we forget that this can apply to us rather than just actual light. I feel like we learn the most about ourselves when we are used in darkness.

6. "We were never created to settle for mere religion. Jesus did not die so that we could have a religious belief system – but rather a life-giving relationship with our Father.

Finally, she reminds us that we're to strive for a relationship rather than religion. Sometimes we forget to personify God, when he already did that by sending Jesus to die for us.

Christine Caine is such a wonderful role model for girls to look up to. She loves God fearlessly and shows the world her passion to spread the gospel. If you want to learn more about her you can visit her website at http://christinecaine.com/

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
