To my travel-loving parents,
I am so thankful to have you both. Both of you have taught me to love and appreciate the world and have given me the opportunities to explore all that the world has to over. Because of you, I have gotten to visit cities around the U.S., travel to different countries and will continue to do so in the future.
You have always loved traveling and you have passed along that love to me. When I was younger, I loved hearing your different stories about traveling, whether it was Mom’s stories about traveling abroad to Europe in college or Dad’s stories from different Habitat for Humanity builds. Now I still love hearing those stories, but the thing I love more is traveling as a family around the world on vacation.
When I think about all the places I have been, it truly amazes me. I have been to so many cities before I was even 18 and that’s all because of you and your shared love of traveling. You have given me vacations and trips that people dream of having, such as vacations in Disney, California and Europe. Most of my favorite family memories are from these different trips because as a family, we were able to experience new and exciting things.
Our family vacations and travels have made our family so close and in the future, I hope I can provide my kids with the kinds of vacations you have given me over the years. I hope to take them to all the places you have taken me and tell them about all of the trips we went on as a family. I hope I can give them all the experiences you have given me.
While traveling, it was incredible seeing the landmarks of the city and visiting the tourist sights of the city, but I think the best things about these vacations was that I got to spend time with you in a new and different city. Together, we were able to explore, shop and try new things.
I don’t think I thank you both enough for the trips and once in a life time experiences you have given me, so thank you. Thanks for always including me on your trips, even though it would be cheaper and easier if you didn’t. Thank you for taking me to London, even though it wasn’t the first city on your list to see. Thanks for having such a strong passion for learning about different cultures and allowing me to learn more about those cultures by traveling. Thank you for inspiring me to study abroad next year. Thanks for understanding and sharing my love for traveling. Thank you for being the world's best parents.
Love,
Your daughter who loves rraveling just as much as you
